The Man from Earth is one of the finest movies I have ever seen in my lifetime. No matter how many times I watched it, it gives a lot of information on ancient scripts, how religions formed and tuned with time, however, how real the facts they discussed in the film. But the process of building a religion and mixing of fairy tales with time and how they become smarter by themselves are several aspects one will realize in this movie.
The film began with a prof. resigned his position and moving to a new place without informing his friends and colleagues. But his colleagues busted him on the day of moving and came out with the little farewell party in his house planned to have conversations about something to kill time till evening. Friends consist of prof.'s who are scholars in various departments of anthropology, biology, psychology, theology, and so forth.
Began with a small conversation and ended up with great surprises about the guy and masterpieces of all await at the end of the film creating more or less suspense at the end whether all is true or not.
After seeing this movie, I remembered reading a book by Linda Goodman Star Sign book (

But the fact is one can achieve physical immortality without actually achieving it. This seems to be an overstatement but what I meant to say is one can live whatever year he can live to say 60 to 100 years like the one who lives more than 1000 years.
One who attains physical immortality, say, John Old Man in the movie The Man from Earth, lives out of time scale worrying about nothing like job, money, and all material things but thinks wisely about what actually life is? This thinking presumption one can get only if one comes out of the material world and lives real life meant for. Moreover, the hidden secret in this presumption was that one who cares nothing can really focus on work and use one's full potential to do any work, which is the thing we all looking for. The bottom line is that one who really doesn't care about all bullshitting things will live in peace and work effectively in no time scale with achieving maximum enjoyment in every single moment. Since failure or success both give him the enjoyment of having experience in his life.
If there is no time, then living up to 60 years or 1000 years is literally equal to having a unique experience in life like playing a football game on life's playground.
